Comments on Proposed Changes to Department of Interior FOIA Regulations
The Reporters Committee and a coalition of 39 newsmedia organizations submitted comments on proposed changes to the Department of Interior’s Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) regulations. The comments focus on numerous aspects of the Proposed Rule that are inconsistent or incompatible with FOIA, and would harm journalists’ ability to gather and report information to the public about the actions of the Department of Interior and its personnel.
