The California Supreme Court nullified a law Wednesday that required judges to seal financial records in divorce cases, a law critics said was designed to help a wealthy supermarket magnate who was also a major campaign contributor. Without comment, justices declined to review an appeals court decision that declared the 2004 state law unconstitutional. (5/19/06)
