The Central Intelligence Agency, under pressure from Congress, said it would make public records about its dealings with Nazi war criminals. The CIA had contended a 1998 law required only that it release date on “war crimes” not “war criminals.” The change in policy came after a “blunt” meeting with Sen. Mke DeWine, R-Ohio, who threatened to summon CIA Director Porter Goss to testify. (2/7/05)
