The Colorado House approved a bill reducing the cost of copying public records and sent it to the governor. The legislation, approved 61-3, reduces the cost of copies from $1.25 a page to 25 cents a page. One county clerk estimated the new law would cost his office $100,000 a year. Requesters will still have to pay for search time. (3/21/07)
