The Colorado Legislature could require state and local officials to dramatically drop the cost of copying public records. Legislation reducing the per page cost of copying from $1.25 to $.25 passed the Senate unanimously. The bill is expected to pass the House. Colorado has the highest fees in the country. (3/7/07)
