Connecticut Gov. Jodi Rell says that she will propose a series of new laws to protect the privacy of persons identified in records the state makes available electronically. The governor said she had been getting complaints from individuals concerned about the posting of privacy information. She said she plans to propose restrictions, most likely by giving citizens the right to “opt out.” (12/26/07)
