Judges and prosecutors have altered court records and maintained secret dockets in criminal cases to protect police informants, the Miami Herald reported. It said it had uncovered two such cases and quoted an assistant Miami-Dade State Attorney as saying altering records in informant cases had been “an established practice” for at least two decades.
