A Washington-based advocacy group sued the Department of Homeland Security and The Federal Emergency Management Agency, for records on federal hurricane preparedness after the agencies turned down a Sept. 7 FOIA request. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) said in a press release it believes “the Administration is trying to shield its incompetence.” (1/31/06)
