Saying “too little has been done,” the Public Interest Declassification Board urged President Bush to move quickly to create a national declassification program under the direction of the national archivist and to require all agencies to report declassification decisions on a single computerized system. The board said the program should identify historically significant documents that should be given declassification priority. (1/9/08)
