New Jersey Republicans are challenging Gov. Jon S. Corzine’s contention that some of the e-mails on his computer are personal and not subject to the Freedom of Information law. The dispute goes to court Aug. 3. The governor’s political opponents think the e-mails with his former girlfriend, a powerful state labor leader, will show his handling of state worker contracts was unethical. (6/11/07)
