The Department of Justice has proposed that all plea/cooperation agreements be dropped from the federal court’s web-based public access system, PACER, the New Jersey Lawyer reports.  That could result in as much as 95 percent of the cases being excluded.    DOJ’s concern is with the limited number of plea bargains that involve snitching – providing information on someone else involved in the case.  (11/27/07)
