Don’t Publish Any More Stories on Estate Case, Texas Judge Orders

A district judge in Texas has ordered the San Antonio Express-News not to publish any additional articles related to an estate guardianship case involving a prominent rancher and to surrender any paper copies of court documents it has on the case, and to destroy any electronic records. The judge, Alex Gabert, sealed all court documents in the case in June. The paper published a lengthy article on the fight over the estate, estimated to to worth hundreds of millions of dollars, in July. (8/27/07)
