Seventeen separate lawsuits against telephone companies that allegedly helped the government warrantless electronic spy program have been consolidated into a federal court in San Francisco. The Multi-district Litigation panel sent the class-action lawsuits that had been filed in 13 different district courts to the court in the Northern District of California where Judge Vaughn Walker is well into a case involving AT&T.
