The Arizona-based environmental group Center for Biological Diversity filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit last week against the government seeking information about the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s endangered species list, a list the agency has acknowledged was "inappropriately influenced" by a top program official, according to a story by the Associated Press.

This is yet another suit filed against the Fish and Wildlife and the Interior Department by environmental groups seeking to discover the extent of alleged improper actions by former deputy assistant secretary Julie McDonald in the process of granting and denying threatened species protection.

McDonald left Interior last year after questions arose about her role in dozens of endangered species decisions.
