Environmental Journalists Urge New Funding for EPA Libraries

The Society of Environmental Journalists asked Congress to restore budget cuts that will close most Environmental Protection Agency libraries around the country. “Closing and dismantling the agency’s network of technical research libraries, which would put thousands of scientific studies out of reach, has the potential to hinder emergency preparedness and anti-pollution enforcement and long-term research,” said SEJ President Perry Beeman in a letter to the appropriations committees.
