Environmental, scientific and animal rights organizations are increasingly complaining that federal agencies are hiding controversial or embarrassing reports that had been public in the past, the Scripps Howard News Service reports. Information is being pulled down from websites. Some agencies have discontinued annual reports on sensitive subjects. Information once shared – such as shipment of hazardous materials – is now withheld. (2/4/05)
