The FBI has dropped three investigations into leaks of classified information to the press because the “victim” agencies refused to cooperate, the New York Sun reported. An FBI memo obtained under the Freedom of Information Act said contacts at the agencies had been “uncooperative,” canceling interviews and briefings, not returning phone calls, and not providing requested records. A Justice Department said the three incidents were unusual. (1/10/07)
