The FBI has agreed to release the final 10 documents covering its surveillance of John Lennon, records it has kept secret for 25 years despite a Freedom of Information Act request from a historian at the University of California, Irvine. The FBI contended the release could cause “military retaliation against the United States.” (12/20/06)
