The Electronic Frontier Foundation sued the Justice Department after the FBI failed to respond to a Freedom of Information Act request for records of two electronic surveillance projects. EFF made the request August 11. The FBI acknowledged receipt but railed to meet the 20-day statutory response deadline. (10/4/06)
