The Federal Emergency Management Agency reversed its policy restricting media access to the hurricane evacuee trailer parks that its manages, telling the newspaper whose reporters it barred, “We’re responding to your criticism.” James Stark, director of FEMA’s Louisiana Transitional Recovery Office told the Baton Rouge Advocate, “we shouldn’t be trying to muzzle the press.” (7/26/06)
