A Florida appeals court upheld a state law that bars courts from sealing information on public hazards. Goodyear had appealed a circuit court ruling in Miami-Dade County making public documents it submitted in a defective tire suit. Goodyear appealed. The 3rd District Court of Appeal rejected the company’s claim that the act itself was unconstitutional and that disclosure of trade secrets without an in camera hearing violated due-process rights.
