The Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission held that the city of Hartford violated state law when it refused to turn over to the Hartford Courant documents related to an investigation of political corruption at city hall.  The commission also fined a deputy city attorney $400 for withholding the information. Asked if the city would appeal, City Attorney John Rose said, “You bet your ass.”  (11/29/07)
