A Tennessee legislator who thought it would help citizens to have someone in every state and local agency schooled on the public records law is getting an education of sorts. His bill has been sent to a legislative summer study committee. “There are a lot of forces out there,” said Rep. Jimmy Eldridge, noting the Sheriff’ Association and Municipal League among them.
