U.S. District Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle rejected a Freedom of Information Act suit seeking statistical details and oversight information on the National Security Agency’s electronic surveillance programs wiretapping program. The judge told the People for the American Way Foundation that the materials are classified and not covered by FOIA. (11/22/06)
