Retired CBS newsman Jim Stewart said in legal documents filed before U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton that he will not reveal the names of his sources for a series of reports he produced in 2003 on the FBI investigation of domestic anthrax attacks. The lawsuit involving Stewart and other reporters was brought against the government by Steven Hatfill, who was named a “person of interest” by investigators in the case. Hatfill contends that agents, by talking to reporters, violated his privacy rights. (1/2/08)
