The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette asked four area school boards for discipline records on local teachers. What they got instead was a tour of the rabbit hole officials can dig when they don’t want to comply with the law. The officials exempted most disciplinary actions. They said a blanket request for records of all teachers was not specific enough, then also rejected a request with the list of every teacher as too general. (10/24/07)
