Freedom of Information Act — Senate and House Hearings

There have been two congressional hearings this year on the Freedom of Information, the first in the Senate tied specifically to the pending OPEN Government Act sponsored by Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Patrick Leahy (D-VT); the other by a House Government Reform subcommittee looking more broadly at how well the existing act is working. Six witnesses testified at each hearing.
