Georgia’s Supreme Court ruled that the exemption to the open meetings law for attorney-client privilege can be used only to discuss pending litigation. The town council of Bainbridge had met privately with its attorney to talk about a grand jury investigation of possible council wrong doing. The Post-Searchlight sued to get access to documents related to the meeting. (7/12/06)
