Highway Safety Advocates Win Two Year Records Battle

Two Fairfield, Connecticut women advocating for improved highway safety won their Freedom of Information suit to get information on truck inspection stations from the state police. After two years of phone calls seeking the data, and constant referrals, they were told they couldn’t have the scheduling data they sought. They took their case to the Freedom of Information Commission and won. A police spokesman said they’ll appeal. (7/31/06)
