The House passed a bill (HR 5687) to strengthen the disclosure provisions required of federal advisory committees. The bill was introduced by Rep. William Lacy Clay, D-MO, and Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA. It requires committees to disclose with whom they meet and the recommendations they receive from special interests. (6/25/08)
