The House approved an amendment to the Interior-Environment Appropriations Bill that will prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from rolling back reporting requirements in its Toxics Release Inventory program for at least a year. The amendment, sponsored by Reps. Frank Pallone, D-NJ, and Helen Solis, D-Ca, won the support of Interior Committee chair Charles Taylor (R-NC). The final vote was 231-187. (5/19/06)
