Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan said the office of public access counselor had handled more than 1,000 inquiries, mostly from citizens, and conducted 75 seminars for citizens and public officials in its first year. She said the counselor’s second year should make the case for establishing the office permanently. (3/15/06)
