Josh Wolf, the 24-year-old blogger-freelance journalist who declined to turn over unedited video footage of a San Francisco protest demonstration, is being released after 226 days in prison – the longest any journalist has ever been held on a contempt charge. His defense lawyer said Wolf posted the unaired videotape on his website, making it available to public as well as prosecutors, who said the government now considers Wolf to have complied with the grand jury subpoena.
