A recent study by the Coalition of Journalists for Open Government found that once FOIA requests receive expedited processing, some are filled on the same day while others linger for months. Below is a sampling of results from the study, including the range of days requesters waited to receive responses from expedited requests; the first number is the fewest days a requester waited and the second is the greatest.
