A Superior Court judge in California ruled that the murder trial of Hollywood producer Phil Spector can be televised, rejecting objections from Spector’s attorneys. “There’s going to come a time that it will be commonplace to televise trials,” Judge Larry Paul Fidler said. “If it had not been for Simpson, we’d be there now. Public scrutiny is a good thing.” (2/20/07)
