Judge Calls Prosecution Tactics Obnoxious But Continues AIPAC Trial
A federal judge said the federal government’s behavior in the espionage case involving two former AIPAC officials has been “unquestionably obnoxious and is fraught with the risk of constitutional harm,” but declined to throw out the case. Judge T.S. Ellis said the efforts of federal prosecutors to deprive the defendants of adequate counsel had obviously failed. (5/11/07)
