Federal District Judge Maxine Chesney gave the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency to respond within 30 days to a Freedom of Information Act request from Josh Gerstein, a New York Sun reporter. Gerstein asked for a copy of records involving unauthorized disclosures of classified information “leaks”. The CIA denied his request for “expedited” processing and had not produced the records after eight months. (12/4/06)
