A federal district judge criticized the Bush administration for its blanket secrecy response to Freedom of Information Act requests on the warrantless surveillance program. “While the court is certainly sensitive to the government’s need to protect classified information and its deliberative processes, essentially declaring ‘because we say so’ is an inadequate” defense, Judge Henry H.
