A federal judge in Phoenix turned down a request from the Associated Press to unseal the names of players allegedly implicated in steroid drug use by former pitcher Jason Grimsley. Magistrate Edward C. Voss said that disclosure now could compromise an ongoing investigation. The names were redacted in a sworn statement from IRS special agent Jeff Novitzky filed with the U.S. District Court in Phoenix last month. (7/31/07)
