A judge presiding in the trial of one of the teens in the racially charged Jena 6 case reversed himself and said he’d open the trial to the public. District Judge J.P. Mauffray initially said the juvenile proceeding would be closed. News organizations had protested the initial ruling and said it ran counter to Louisiana law. (11/16/07)
