Judge Reggie B. Walton, a District Judge in Washington since 2001, has been appointed to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court by Chief Justice John Roberts. The 11-member court was established in 1978 to oversee the government’s electronic surveillance and physical search of suspected foreign agents or terrorists within the United States. Judge Walton was the presiding judge in the trial of former Vice Presidential aide Lewis “Scooter” Libby. (5/28/07)
