Judge Won’t Unseal Settlement But Explains His Decision

A New Jersey Superior Court judge declined to unseal a settlement agreement in a lawsuit involving a girl left quadriplegic, but he did explain his reason for sealing the record. Judge Robert Wilson said announcement of the amount might prompt the father – under court order to stay away from the girl – to try to steal the money.  (11/21/07)
