The Justice Department sent a report to the president in June advising that his December, 2005 Executive Order on the Freedom of Information Act was beginning to produce important changes. We noted that the first agency singled out for praise had just reported data showing it was falling even further behind in responding to requests, then went on to point out other areas where agency performance wasn’t getting better.
