When five of the six candidates for Kentucky Attorney General were questioned on their open government views at a University of Kentucky forum, one said he favored “more secrecy in government” and four said that communications — such as e-mails, telephone records, letters and other communications — to and from legislatures should not be available to the public. One called it “ridiculous” to examine “everything that every public official does every day.” (4/5/07)
