A Kentucky appellate court ruled that the names of financial donors to a state university foundation did not have to be disclosed under the state’s open records laws. A circuit court had ordered the names any donors who had not requested anonymity disclosed; the University of Kentucky appealed. “The privacy interests of the donors …outweigh the public interest in disclosure,” the appeals court said.
