The Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies union failed in an effort to keep the county from releasing internal investigation reports that accuse several law enforcement officials of dishonesty, excessive use of force and other acts of misconduct. The union sought a restraining order to block a Los Angeles Times request for the records. (2/9/06)
