The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors violated the state’s open meetings law when members met privately to select a headhunting firm to find a new manager, several open-government experts told the Los Angeles Times. The board is already under investigation for an earlier private meeting to discuss funding for a local hospital. (4/23/07)
