The League of Women Voters is launching a new nationwide education program focusing on the importance of an open government. The “Openness in Government: Looking for the Sunshine,” project will feature a national and local forums during Sunshine Week 2006, March 12-18. The league is developing educational materials on federal, state and local laws on citizen access to records and meetings. (11/22/05)
