Ryan Nees admits a “certain amount of indignation” led him to file a Freedom of Information lawsuit when Kokomo Mayor Matt McKillip refused to provide him a list of e-mail subscribers to the city’s newsletter. Nees thinks McKillip used the list to spam him with unwanted campaign literature. A court ruled for Nees and told the city to pay his $11,000 legal bill. Now Nees, 15, can get back to his filmmaking hobby. (4/21/06)
