Louisiana High Court Orders Divorce Case Records Unsealed

Louisiana’s Supreme Court overturned the sealing of court records in the divorce case involving a prominent restaurateur, saying that “considering the strong constitutional bias in favor of open access by the public to court proceedings, we find the trial court’s blanket order sealing the entire record in this case to be overbroad.” The high court did order that information about the school and address of the couple’s three children be redacted.
